In this audio Dr. Anil Rajvanshi (https://nariphaltan.org/shortbio.pdf) talks about how modern science and yoga sutras are similar. He also talks about the experiences of UFO abductees who talk about the supernatural powers exhibited by extraterrestrials which is exactly what Patanjali wrote 2500 years ago. The similarity is really uncanny.Dr. Rajvanshi has written about this issue in many published articles.https://www.southasiamonitor.org/open...https://nariphaltan.org/patanjali.pdfHis writings on spirituality and similar topics are available at: https://nariphaltan.org/writings.htmSHOW LESS

This is the interview of Dr. Anil K Rajvanshi on the new Engineering policy laid out by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). This policy states that for engineering college entrance it is not necessary for students to know Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. They can come from any stream and in the college they can take bridge courses.Dr. Rajvanshi states that this policy was dictated more from commercial point of view rather than any solid reasons.

In late 1977 I was walking through a thick pine-grove in Gainesville, Florida, USA when suddenly a thought came out of blue that gravity and human thought may be related.I was not thinking about this relationship or anything connected to gravity at that time, and hence was taken aback by this thought and felt that it must be true since it came with such a force. The power of this thought was such that I spent next 3-4 months researching it and, in the process, neglected my Ph.D. research. I also felt that pine-grove acted as an antenna for getting such a thought. This event also propelled me to start investigating the area of mind-matter interaction and other aspects of spirituality. In fact, whatever little I have done within this realm in the last 40 years was triggered by this single thought.Though I understood intuitively the import of this thought at that time and even today, somehow the relationship between deep human thought and gravity has remained elusive. Recently it appeared that there may be a light at the end of the tunnel! And this podcast is my humble attempt to show how the human thought and gravity may be related. The article was published in Thrive Global. https://thriveglobal.com/stories/touched-by-light-a-conjecture-on-how-gravity-and-human-thought-maybe-related/

14th March is the birth anniversary of Albert Einstein. He has been one of my heroes and I have been inspired by his work and his life. So I thought of paying my small tribute to him.Millions of words and thousands of books have already been written about him so what I am stating in this essay may not be anything new but for few anecdotes from people whom I knew.I have always considered Einstein to be an extremely evolved human being and in my judgment, he occupies the same stature as Buddha, Christ and other great figures of history who have given mankind a new thought and have helped in its progress and evolution. Such people are few and far between but come to this planet earth to give a quantum jump to mankind’s thought. The article on it was published in Thrive Global. https://thriveglobal.com/stories/one-of-my-heroes-albert-einstein/The URL is at: https://nariphaltan.org/einstein.pdf

Homeopathy is an alternative system of medicine. It is used by about 1/7th of mankind. Yet very little is known on how it works. On 30th January was the 73rd death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi – the apostle of peace and a person who engineered India’s independence from British rule in 1947. His decency, democratic nature, personal examples, and teachings are as relevant today in this divided and fractious world as they were almost hundred years ago.I am going to narrate anecdotes about him from people who met and worked with him. Anecdotes help describe a person in human terms. No matter how great the soul is, once it acquires a human body then it is guided by the frailties of human existence. We all identify entities with their forms. Either living or non-living entities are all identified by their physical forms. Our own body-form creates a memory map in our brain, and we identify ourselves and others with those memories. The idea of form has always intrigued me. If a simple physical and thermodynamical analysis is done on a system, then one faces a dilemma on how to put the energy of form in it. For example when a body (either a living or a non-living one) gets destroyed then its atoms and molecules all get distributed in space since matter cannot be produced or destroyed except in nuclear fission or fusion; or at very high temperatures when it becomes plasma! Similarly, the energy that goes in making its structure converts into heat and is also dissipated in space. But what happens to the energy of form? And also what happens to its space-time structure that it displaced for some time in that form? These are some issues which I think are fundamental to species survival and procreation. I feel that the fear of death is associated with the destruction of form. Hence all living entities protect their forms and procreate to provide its continuity. This podcast tries to explore these issues. The URL of this essay is at: https://nariphaltan.org/form.pdf
